Fight Breaks out as Xicana Boxing interviews Amir “King” Khan

We tried to catch up on Amir “King” Khan’s reaction to the Garcia vs. Easter fight, his upcoming fight against Samuel Vargas, and possible future opponents at 147. Unfortunately, a fight between fans broke out as we did the interview. Here is the interview, fight included. I’m surprised no one yelled “World Star!”

A journalism major at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Lily hopes to reach their dream job as a boxing commentator. They grew up in Mexico watching boxing with their father, and looking up to exciting Mexican legends like Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Travieso Arce, El Maromero, and of course, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Their love for boxing intensified when their family migrated to the US in 2001 and world boxing became more accessible. Apart from their love of boxing, they love to be involved in social justice activism and plans to use their journalism career to raise awareness on socials issues affecting people of color and other minorities.
