Three-division world champion Donnie Nietes talks Superfly 3!

Longest reigning Philippine champion Donnie Nietes talks about possibly becoming a four-division world champion, fighting at super flyweight, and unifying if he becomes a super flyweight champion.
Nietes will face Aston Palicte for the vacant WBO super flyweight title on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Forum in Inglewood.

A journalism major at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Lily hopes to reach their dream job as a boxing commentator. They grew up in Mexico watching boxing with their father, and looking up to exciting Mexican legends like Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Travieso Arce, El Maromero, and of course, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Their love for boxing intensified when their family migrated to the US in 2001 and world boxing became more accessible. Apart from their love of boxing, they love to be involved in social justice activism and plans to use their journalism career to raise awareness on socials issues affecting people of color and other minorities.
